Balance Innovations - Dynamic Research View
Introduction
As part of the Corporate View application development, I led the design and development of the Dynamic Research View feature. This project aimed to provide retail managers with a highly customizable tool that allows them to pinpoint specific data across multiple transaction types and sources. By enabling detailed filtering and sorting options, this feature empowers users to gain a deeper understanding of their cash management operations, streamline their workflows, and make data-driven decisions with confidence. Dive into the process of creating this versatile feature and discover how it transformed data analysis for our users.
Challenges
Developing the Dynamic Research View feature presented several challenges, including creating a user-friendly interface for complex data filtering, maintaining an intuitive user experience, and optimizing performance for large datasets. This section explores these challenges in detail and the innovative solutions we implemented to build a powerful and responsive data analysis tool.
- Complex Data Filtering: Designing an intuitive interface that allows users to easily select and combine various transaction types and data sources for detailed analysis was a significant challenge.
- User Experience: Ensuring that the dynamic filtering and sorting options were easy to use and did not overwhelm users with complexity was crucial for maintaining a positive user experience.
- Performance Optimization: The feature needed to handle large datasets efficiently, providing quick response times even when processing complex queries involving multiple filters and sorting parameters.

The Garmin window display project was designed to create an eye-catching storefront that reflects the brand’s sleek, modern aesthetic. The display featured an elegant and minimalistic design, showcasing Garmin's premium products against a sophisticated black backdrop. As the lead designer and project manager, I worked closely with a team to develop a visual concept that aligned with Garmin's branding and appealed to the upscale shoppers on Michigan Avenue.
